Reflection on Blogging

My whole experience on this blogging site has been a really new and different experience. I thought it was a good way to express myself and let other people (if there was other people) see different trends and styles than they are use to. In my opinion i thought it was easy to keep the required blogs up and make sure that I had the right about of words per blog. I think that I have grown a lot from my first blog post. I knew it was just about me posting stuff that I thought was interesting and that it was an assignment but the more we blogged the more I got into it. I even started to change how my blog looked and began looking at other people's blogs. For me it wasn't the typical assignment where you have to research and turn it in to the teacher. It gave you the freedom to express yourself as long as it was school appropiate and you were getting a point across. The only requirements that you had was that you had to have a certain amount of blogs by a certain date and you had to have the right amount of words. Also, by letting us go to the computer lab and work on it helped out a lot of people especially me. At the moment I was in a FEMA trailer and having internet access was very hard for me. But since I have been back into my original house I have been able to work on my blogs at home and have been doing it on my free time too not just because its an assignment. A lot of the topics that I chose to blog about mainly come from what I think would be good to let people know about. Sometimes it could be something that me and my friends are talking about and just decide to blog about it. For example, me and my cousin are in love with the song "My Love" by The Dream and it was just stuck in my head all day so I just decided to blog about it and let people know about the song. Another example is when I wrote the blog on skinny jeans, the day before I went shopping and bought about 7 pairs in different colors. That's when I started to realize that a lot of girls my age wear them, so I thought it was appropiate to let people know. Outside of school I think that I will still continue to blog, that shows how much I have enjoyed blogging!!!

Lets Get Fit!!!

If you are like me and want to make sure that your body is banging for the summer so you can be able to go to the local swimming pools and get attention in a GOOD WAY from everyone else, you should really think about a cardio workout. If you have a little baby phat, you just can't do a crunches and expect results automatically. You have to have a steady diet and work out on a regular basis. You don't have to do something like watch a workout tape, you can do something you love doing like, swimming, jogging, running or even walking. Pretty much anything to that will burn a lot of calories. If you have love handles and are really trying to get rid of them. The best way to go is riding a bike. If you are having problems getting rid of your lower baby phat on your stomach, the key thing to do is strengthening your core. Just make sure your stomach is tight and you stretch before so you don't pull a muscle. Another move you can practice to get nice, tone, abs is squatting. It works out your belly from all differen angles. To maximize the results for abs, you could do regular crunches but try doing them on a stable giant ball. Trying any of these exercises or making up your own, in time you will have that swim suit body that you have been dreaming of. Just make sure that you are making a routine out of it and have a good diet. NO JUNK FOOD!!!

White Lines

A lot of people don't like to read mainly because they think it's boring or they can't relate at all to what is going on in the story. But one summer my mom introduced me to some books that I really got into and would read in only a couple of days. The genre is Urban Fiction and I started to become obessed with reading these books that I began buying them. I also got a lot of my friends and family members into reading them and now it's all they do. But one of my favorite books is called White Lines by Tracy Brown. This book is about 497 pages (don't let the page number scare you, it's a good read...TRUST ME!!!) and was released in 2007. It's about a girl name Jada who left home at the age of sixteen, running from her own demons and the horrors of physical abuse inflicted by her mother's boyfriend. She partied hard, and life seemed good when she was with Born, the neighborhood kingpin whose name was synonymous with money, power, and respect. But all his love couldn't save her from a crack addiction. Jada goes from crack addict and prostitute to survivor and back again before she finds the strength to live for herself and come out on top. This book is truly unforgettable and when you're finished reading this novel, you will just want to check out the rest of the books Tracy Brown wrote.

Shirt Dressez

If you are into the fashion where you want to look cute, comfortable and sexy all at the same style, I have a trend for you that you can't resist. It's the shirt dresses. They are basically what the name is: a cute top that is long enough to be a dress. They usually come down right underneath your bottom, so it would be only right to wear something underneath this style like leggings or even pants. The best way to wear these are with flat baby doll shoes or heels to make your legs look long and sexy. A lot of different labels have this type of clothing like Dereon (which have a lot with different styles), Baby Phat, Coogi and even Ed Hardy. With shirt dresses you can either dress up or dress down, it doesn't have to be for a specific occasion. You can even make it your own like wearing a belt around your waist or wear bangles and earrings. This style isn't just for girls who wear a size 3 and 5, this trend comes in a lot of different sizes and they all look great. You can go to any clothing department and buy some. Money shouldn't really be an issue because they price at a really wide range. For a new look, you should try shirt dresses.

Dance of the Month

The Ricky Bobby is that dance that everyone is doing and having a good time with. It has recently came to 106 N Park and everyone has been doing it ever since. It's a simple dance but hard to explain how to do so I'm just going to put the video on my site so you can see how its done. It has a nice beat and easy to get into once you see how its done. The song is by the new artist B-Hamp. Here go the lyrics, it would probably be easier to know what you are dancing to if you know the words to the song and understand the moves you are doing. Check out the song and if you like the dance and the song, tell your friends about it:

BET AWARDS 2009

The BET Awards are back and it should be a show to see. All the famous stars are going to be in there and are going to show their fans and viewers a great time. It premieres June 28th at 7pm. So make sure you don't have any plans made for that day. The host of the BET Awards is Jamie Foxx, he is hilarious and should make this year's award show one of the best. Last year for this award show Lil Wayne stole the show. Alicia Keys made a lasting impression taking music way back and singing with groups like SWV. Every year is always bigger and better. So keep a look out for the hottest music, dance moves and styles.
