Reflection on Blogging

My whole experience on this blogging site has been a really new and different experience. I thought it was a good way to express myself and let other people (if there was other people) see different trends and styles than they are use to. In my opinion i thought it was easy to keep the required blogs up and make sure that I had the right about of words per blog. I think that I have grown a lot from my first blog post. I knew it was just about me posting stuff that I thought was interesting and that it was an assignment but the more we blogged the more I got into it. I even started to change how my blog looked and began looking at other people's blogs. For me it wasn't the typical assignment where you have to research and turn it in to the teacher. It gave you the freedom to express yourself as long as it was school appropiate and you were getting a point across. The only requirements that you had was that you had to have a certain amount of blogs by a certain date and you had to have the right amount of words. Also, by letting us go to the computer lab and work on it helped out a lot of people especially me. At the moment I was in a FEMA trailer and having internet access was very hard for me. But since I have been back into my original house I have been able to work on my blogs at home and have been doing it on my free time too not just because its an assignment. A lot of the topics that I chose to blog about mainly come from what I think would be good to let people know about. Sometimes it could be something that me and my friends are talking about and just decide to blog about it. For example, me and my cousin are in love with the song "My Love" by The Dream and it was just stuck in my head all day so I just decided to blog about it and let people know about the song. Another example is when I wrote the blog on skinny jeans, the day before I went shopping and bought about 7 pairs in different colors. That's when I started to realize that a lot of girls my age wear them, so I thought it was appropiate to let people know. Outside of school I think that I will still continue to blog, that shows how much I have enjoyed blogging!!!

Lets Get Fit!!!

If you are like me and want to make sure that your body is banging for the summer so you can be able to go to the local swimming pools and get attention in a GOOD WAY from everyone else, you should really think about a cardio workout. If you have a little baby phat, you just can't do a crunches and expect results automatically. You have to have a steady diet and work out on a regular basis. You don't have to do something like watch a workout tape, you can do something you love doing like, swimming, jogging, running or even walking. Pretty much anything to that will burn a lot of calories. If you have love handles and are really trying to get rid of them. The best way to go is riding a bike. If you are having problems getting rid of your lower baby phat on your stomach, the key thing to do is strengthening your core. Just make sure your stomach is tight and you stretch before so you don't pull a muscle. Another move you can practice to get nice, tone, abs is squatting. It works out your belly from all differen angles. To maximize the results for abs, you could do regular crunches but try doing them on a stable giant ball. Trying any of these exercises or making up your own, in time you will have that swim suit body that you have been dreaming of. Just make sure that you are making a routine out of it and have a good diet. NO JUNK FOOD!!!

White Lines

A lot of people don't like to read mainly because they think it's boring or they can't relate at all to what is going on in the story. But one summer my mom introduced me to some books that I really got into and would read in only a couple of days. The genre is Urban Fiction and I started to become obessed with reading these books that I began buying them. I also got a lot of my friends and family members into reading them and now it's all they do. But one of my favorite books is called White Lines by Tracy Brown. This book is about 497 pages (don't let the page number scare you, it's a good read...TRUST ME!!!) and was released in 2007. It's about a girl name Jada who left home at the age of sixteen, running from her own demons and the horrors of physical abuse inflicted by her mother's boyfriend. She partied hard, and life seemed good when she was with Born, the neighborhood kingpin whose name was synonymous with money, power, and respect. But all his love couldn't save her from a crack addiction. Jada goes from crack addict and prostitute to survivor and back again before she finds the strength to live for herself and come out on top. This book is truly unforgettable and when you're finished reading this novel, you will just want to check out the rest of the books Tracy Brown wrote.

Shirt Dressez

If you are into the fashion where you want to look cute, comfortable and sexy all at the same style, I have a trend for you that you can't resist. It's the shirt dresses. They are basically what the name is: a cute top that is long enough to be a dress. They usually come down right underneath your bottom, so it would be only right to wear something underneath this style like leggings or even pants. The best way to wear these are with flat baby doll shoes or heels to make your legs look long and sexy. A lot of different labels have this type of clothing like Dereon (which have a lot with different styles), Baby Phat, Coogi and even Ed Hardy. With shirt dresses you can either dress up or dress down, it doesn't have to be for a specific occasion. You can even make it your own like wearing a belt around your waist or wear bangles and earrings. This style isn't just for girls who wear a size 3 and 5, this trend comes in a lot of different sizes and they all look great. You can go to any clothing department and buy some. Money shouldn't really be an issue because they price at a really wide range. For a new look, you should try shirt dresses.

Dance of the Month

The Ricky Bobby is that dance that everyone is doing and having a good time with. It has recently came to 106 N Park and everyone has been doing it ever since. It's a simple dance but hard to explain how to do so I'm just going to put the video on my site so you can see how its done. It has a nice beat and easy to get into once you see how its done. The song is by the new artist B-Hamp. Here go the lyrics, it would probably be easier to know what you are dancing to if you know the words to the song and understand the moves you are doing. Check out the song and if you like the dance and the song, tell your friends about it:

Top Movies of 2009 so far....

Movies are a way that people can get out of reality and go into a life of someone else. You can relax and enjoy popcorn and candy while watching a good movie that may come in many different genres. I personally like action, horror and drama movies. But on http://www.bet.com/ they have listed the top 5 movies that people are going out to see.

The number one movie that made a profit of $72.5 million is Star Trek

The second movie with the profit of $27 million is X-Men Origins: Wolverine

The third movie with the profit of $10.5 million is The Ghost of Girlfriend's Past

The fourth movie with the profit of $4.4 million is 17 Again

The fifth movie with the profit of $6.6 million is Obessed

BET AWARDS 2009

The BET Awards are back and it should be a show to see. All the famous stars are going to be in there and are going to show their fans and viewers a great time. It premieres June 28th at 7pm. So make sure you don't have any plans made for that day. The host of the BET Awards is Jamie Foxx, he is hilarious and should make this year's award show one of the best. Last year for this award show Lil Wayne stole the show. Alicia Keys made a lasting impression taking music way back and singing with groups like SWV. Every year is always bigger and better. So keep a look out for the hottest music, dance moves and styles.

Charm School 3

The past two season of Charm School have been crazy, funny and packed with a lot of drama. The main point of this show is to show America that the girls that were on Rock of Love, Real Chance of Love or Flavor of Love, are more than just sex, cussing and alcohol. On the first season the host of Charm School was Monique. The second season the host was Sharon Osbourne. Now for 2009 they have a whole new group of girls and a new host which is Ricky Lake. This new season premieres May 11th at 8pm on VH1. It's a show to see!!

Designer Nailz

If you are like me and get bored easily with your nails and they aren't the type that grow strong and long, I would suggest that you go out and get your nails did. In Cedar Rapids there are a lot of different places you can go to get your nails beautified. I personally love Nail World over there by Westdale Mall. They have a really good way of acting professional and the prices are really good. Other places that you can go are in Westdale Mall where they have a salon called "Secret Nails" and Lindale Mall where there's is called "Nail Lovers." Those aren't the only places that you can go but they are some of the best. The most common nail style is a french manicure with white tips. It only cost $20 and they last a good 2 weeks until they would need to be filled in, which cost $15. There is airbrush nails where they would stick something like a stencil on your nail and air brush color onto it. My favorite is the hand crafted designs where they take their time and put different designs on your nail. The only problem with doing this is that the paint doesn't last all that long. If you want to spend a little more money on getting your nails done, you could get gel nails or pink and white. These type of nails cost a little more but they make your nails look more realistic and glossy. Also, you can get color tips which is like a french manicure but instead of white there could be designer labels like Louis Vuitton or just a different color.

Song of 2009...."My Love"

This song is on repeat non-stop in my car and on my ipod. It has been number 1 on 106 and Park for weeks and the video is so good. Once the song is in your head it is extremely hard not to stop dancing and singing it out loud. The song I am talking about is "My Love" by The Dream featuring Mariah Carey. If you have ever been in love and have a whole lot of people in your relationship and starting to hate, this is the song for you. It basically is saying that people don't know about the love a relationship has so why are they all up in it trying to talk about it. Im going to post the lyrics and the video, so you can understand why this song is so hot. And If you really start liking it, you can just look at the lyrics and sing along with the video. If you like this song, you should go out and either buy it on itunes, download it from limewire, or go out and buy The Dream's new album that was released a month ago.

[The Dream]
Radio Killa
did a song with the American Dream
They can't put it down like this, no no no no
Im her baby, she my shawty
Oh, we rockin They got our sh*t all up in the press
They hate on us

Verse 1 (The Dream):
Now who’s right there every time you cry?
Gonna sleep and wake up on your side?
Endless love I'll always provide
They hatin on us and you should know why
But who’s be lovin you lately?
Who’s willing to go half on the baby?
Who ooo ooo’s trying to flag our ship?
They just tryin to get the love you give
But baby,

Chorus:
Tell me what they know about my love (my love) [x8]
Ohhhhhhhhh, Ohhhhhhhhhhh, Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Verse 2 (Mariah Carey):
So they don’t understand why I'll never leave you
Explain my love? I don’t need to ]
Got everybody way up in our business
Cuz lovin each other stay on their wish list
I see them reachin everytime you call me baby
They on my back like a shirt, get off me baby
They don’t love me, let them wonder why
Here to stay and they going bye bye
Who’s the one calling you baby?
Who’s in love with your ass like crazy?
Who who who’s gonna flag our ship?
They just tryna get the love u give baby

(Repeat Chorus)

Bridge:
My love is your love
There ain’t nothing in this world that they can do to make me give you up
Oh baby
you will always be my girl
so let them do whatever, say whatever Cuz I ain't givin her up

(Repeat Chorus)

"Fighting"

A movie that a lot of people are trying to get out and see this week is Fighting. It is rated PG-13 and was released April 24, 2009 (last friday). Even though this movie came out to theaters last friday a lot of teenagers are still breaking their necks to go and see this movie. It is directed by Dito Montiel and is an action and drama film. This movie stars Channing Tatum, who plays Shawn MacArthur (the main character), Terrence Howard, Zulay Henao, Luis Guzman, Cung Le, and many more. Tatum has become a well known actor, he has been in a lot of good movies like "Step Up", "Coach Carter", and "Public Enemies." This movie takes place in New York where Shawn is distanced from his family and is trying to find something in life that motivates him. He soon meets Coach Harvet (Howard) who is a veteran street-fighter. Shawn soon becomes hooked to the world of street fighting and along the way he meets a girl who he soon develops strong feelings for. If you are into fighting and action and have seen the commericals for this movie, you can't even say this movie doesn't look interesting. It's still out in theaters so I would suggest that you go out and see it.

CD's Comin This May

It wouldn't be right not to start a new month without having some new albums coming out. The first album that I'm going to be talking about is from Pleasure P or Marcus Ramone Cooper, better known from the group Pretty Ricky. He has finally decided to go solo with a very talented and creative voice. So far he has had two very successful hit songs with videos. The first one was "Did U Wrong" released in 2008 and recently "Boyfriend #2." But he is known for a lot of other songs that he was featured in like "Get U Wet" with Plies and "Shone" with Flo Rida. His new album will be released on May 5, 2009. So you should go your nearest store that sells music and get a copy if you are a big fan.

The second album that is coming out on May 5, 2009 is Ciara's third album called "Fantasy Ride." This album includes her hit singles "Never Ever" with Young Jeezy and "Love, Sex and Magic" that features Justin Timberlake. There are other famous artist on her new album like Chris Brown, Ludacris, The Dream, and Missy Elliott. Just by listening to the new singles that she has from this album, you can tell that she has grown a lot from "Goodies" and "1,2 Step." Here is a list of her songs from the album, if you want to log onto http://www.youtube.com/ and get a little idea of what her album is going to be like.

1."Ciara to the Stage"
2."Love Sex Magic"
3."High Price"
4."Turntables"
5."Like a Surgeon"
6."Never Ever"
7."Lover's Thing"
8."Work"
9."Pucker Up"
10."G Is for Girl"
11."Keep Dancin' on Me"
12."Tell Me What Your Name Is"
13."I Don't Remember"

If you have her other 2 albums like I do, you should get this one also on May 5.

New York Goes to Work

New York is back and is not here for love but trying to find a job for herself. Her real name is Tiffany Pollard but everyone knows her as the girl who got spit on by pumpkin on "Flavor of Love." Her new show is called "New York Goes to Work" and the viewers get to be apart of the show. There will be a list of 3 jobs and viewers will vote on their phone for the job that they would want to see New York do. The best part about this show is that the fans get to be involved and its up to them what she will end up doing as a job. Why is she doing this?? Obviously its for the money. If she ends up getting a good report from her employer she will win a bonus of $5,000 each week. But if she quits or gets a bad report, she will not recieve anything. It is going to be something to see. It will premiere on May 4 on Vh1 at 9pm.

For the Love of Ray J

If you are a fan of the tv show "For the Love of Ray J" you would probably know by now that he picked Cocktail! I really wanted him to end up with Danger but she was a little too crazy and unstable to be with him but other than that I wanted him to pick Cocktail. On the season finale, it was all down to Unique, Cocktail and Danger. On the side is a photo of the three girls during eliminations. Danger got sent home because Ray J was worried about her safety, his and the other two girls in the house. Ray J ended up meeting Cocktail and Unique's family and had a really good time. They made a trip to Las Vegas so Ray J could spend one last time with the remaining girls and choose who he wanted to be with. It was a really good season finale. But tonight the reunion special comes on. It will reveal a lot that everyone has had questions about like if Danger is really pregnant by Ray J and if Cocktail and Ray are even still together. The reunion will also go back and share the high lights and the lows of the season. It comes on tonight at 9pm on VH1. It should be really exciting and interesting!!!

"Forever in a Day" comes out today. Just from watching the show, you can tell that this album is going to be better than the first. I thought the first album was amazing, but now this album is going to show their growth and hard work. It hasn't been an easy journey for Day 26 and if you have been following Day 26 from when they first became a group, you would probably think, this is the worst that it has been. But I'm not blogging to talk about the show, I'm trying to promote people to go out and buy their new album. Their last album went platinum and I hope this one does also. They have featuring artist on this album like Jermaine Dupri, T-Pain, Diddy himself, and Yung Joc. They already have a song out that a lot of people are singing along to called "Imma Put It On Her." SKINNY JEANZ

We all have our favorite type of jeans, whether they are tight, loose, bell bottoms, flared or straight cut. But a style that is always coming and going is the Skinny jeans. It's 2009 and a lot of teenage girls and some boys (LOL) are wearing skinny jeans. They go good with almost any type of shoe, but they especially go good with high tops, boots, any type of heels and baby doll flats. I love these type of jeans because they show off your frame and come in a lot of different styles and colors (like most jeans). It doesn't matter what type of style you're into, they will have a pair that are good just for you. They have them for preps, goths, rockerz, and many more. Some of the popular styles with skinny cut jeans are Baby Phat, Apple Bottom, Levi, American Eagle and many more. You can purchase anywhere that sells clothes. If you don't have a high budget, you don't have to go for the name brands, you could easily go to Target or Wal Mart. The way I think of it is that you can either join the trend of make up your own, it's your choice. But I would suggest skinny jeans to anyone who loves their body and wants others to notice their curves.

Hannah Montana (The Movie)

Over the weekend I went to the movies and saw Hannah Montana. It was a really good movie, especially if you are a big fan of the young and popular Miley Cyrus. The movie was based off the show pretty much. It was about Miley having to deal with her double life as a regular teenager and the famous Hannah Montana. Her father (in the movie and in real life), Billy Ray Cyrus, soon notices that Miley is becoming more like Hannah every single day and is getting to wrapped up in living the glamourous life, that she is forgetting where she is from and who she really is. So he decides to take her back to her hometown in Tennessee. At first she didn't want to be there at all, but as the days went by, she grown to love it way more than she did when she was younger. She also falls for her childhood crush named Travis Brody.

There are 14 new songs and a couple of old songs from her concerts and the show on the Disney Channel. One of the songs that she sang close to the end was "Climb" which is very popular on the radio. Another song that had a little hip hop to it was the "Hoedown Throwdown" it was like a hoedown version of the Cha Cha Slide. It was one of the best scenes out of the whole movie. When people were walking out of the movie theater, they were either singing or trying to dance to the song. Im going to post it with this blog so you can understand what Im talking about. There is also a Hannah Montana Soundtrack that is in stores now. Her are some of the songs off of the CD and the movie:

"You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home" - Hannah Montana
"Let's Get Crazy" - Hannah Montana
"The Good Life" - Hannah Montana
"Everything I Want" - Steve Rushton
"Don't Walk Away" - Miley Cyrus
"Hoedown Throwdown" - Miley Cyrus

"The Climb" - Miley Cyrus
"Butterfly Fly Away" - Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus

OBESSED!!

Since we are on the topic of movies, another movie that is a must see is the film "Obessed" directed by Steve Shill. This movie stars Beyonce Knowles as Beth Charles, Idris Elba as Derek Charles, and Ali Larter as Lisa Sheridan. Obessed is about a successful asset manager, Derek, that recieves a big promotion at his job and has a happy marriage with Beth. Soon Derek meets a temp worker, Lisa, who works in his building and she becomes obessed with Derek and ends up crashing his happy life to the ground. This movie is released April 24, 2009. It will be playing at the Wynnsong Theater or the Gaxalxy movie theater. The tagline for this movie is "All's fair in Love and War," which really grabs a lot of people's attention. Almost every movie Beyonce has been in has been a success, she has just starred in the movie Cadalliac Records that came out in March. So I'm sure that this movie is not going to disappoint her fans. The same with Idris Elba, who is becoming one of the most famous black actors, he also starred in Tyler Perry's "Daddy's Little Girls", This Christmas, Prom Night, and many more. The genre of this movie is Drama and Thriller. I am going to post the sneak peek of this movie so you can get a visual of this movie. It's two and a half minutes long and will grab your attention quickly. If you find any of this interesting, on April 24 I would suggest that you go out and see "Obessed."

DVD's Out This Week

If you don't have anything to do this week, you can just chill in the house and watch some movies. If you don't know what movies to watch, I would recommend you to go and get "Seven Pounds" directed by Gabriele Muccino or "Marley and Me" directed by David Frankel. Seven Pounds is about an IRS agent, Ben (played by Will Smith), who is depressed and feels really guilty about his past and the only way for him to feel better about his self is to help seven strangers. Along the way of him helping these seven people, he falls in love with one of them. This movie's genre is Drama and it will let you see how precious human life really is. This movie along with Marley and Me was released out on DVD, Tuesday, March 31. It came to theaters December 19, 2008 and I made sure to go and see this movie. It truly is a teary eye movie! This movie also had 2 wins from the Image Awards and 4 nominations in others. Other famous actors and actresses in this movie are Rosario Dawson, who plays the woman that Ben falls in love with, Michael Ealy, who also played on the Barber Shop with Ice Cube.

Now Marley and Me is a cute movie for anyone who has pets. It's about a newly wed couple, John and Jennifier Grogan (played by Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson), who move to Florida to start their new life as husband and wife. John doesn't want to have any children at the moment so instead he gives Jennifer a puppy named Marley. Marley is so active and impulsive that it's completely hard to train him. So in this movie, Marley opens up a new site of the world to the couple and they begin to appreciate a lot more things in life. Some other actors and actresses in this film are Eric Dane and Haley Bennett. This movie was shown in theaters December 25, 2008. The genre of Marley and Me are family, drama, comedy and even romance. So if you love movies in those types of genres, I'm sure this movie is for you. I hope that if you do see these movies that you will enjoy them as much as I did.

T.I Finally Sentenced!!

Today is the day that T.I's life is about to change. He went to court today in Atlanta, Georgia this morning to see about his sentencing for felony weapon charges. Clifford "T.I.P" Harris made a plea bargin a while back saying that he was going to serve 1000 hours of community service to reduce his 32 year sentence. He also has to serve 500 hours after his sentence and pay a fine of $100,000. I blogged about T.I's show a while back called "T.I's Road to Redemption" and all of that hard work trying to change young adults life has paid off. So now T.I has 6 to 8 weeks until its time for him to go to prison to serve one year and a day. It has been reported from MTV that after his was released out of the court house he went straight home to celebrate with his family. Speaking of his show, the season finale is going to be on March 31st on MTV at 8 pm. IT's called "T.I's Road To Redemption: The Reckoning." So if you want to see how he prepared to go to court to hear his sentencing, you should tune into that.

A lot of people was surprised by the outcome of this show. Many thought that after he spent the day with these troubled young adults, that they wouldn't change and go right back to doing wrong. But that wasn't the case at all, a lot of them changed for the better! I think that they had a special connection to T.I is because he actually lived it and overcame what they were going through. While being on the show T.I was asked if he was going to be in protective custody or in general population while in prison and he said that he was going to be doing general population. He states that he can't be in his cell 23 hours a day, while everyone else gets to play chess and watch tv. Some of the people lives that he has changed from the show are Pee Wee (18 year old drop out from Atlanta, GA), Trey (15 years old who is involved in gang banging), Anthony(18 years old who is a member of the gang "Crips"), Edwin( who is a struggling father, who steals from people to support his family), Mario (18 years old who is known for always shooting others), Cynthia (who was witnessed her brother get killed and is involved in a gang) and Donald (18 years old and has had a troubling past but is sticking to the positive side of life).

Before this month is over, you have to at least go to the nearest Wal Mart, Target, F.Y.E, or Best Buy because new albums are out in stores NOW. For starters, there is the Dreams CD. Now his first CD wasn't all that hot except for the hit songs that he made videos to, but everyone is saying that this 2nd Album called "Love vs Money" makes up for the first one. He has a lot of different artists on his album like Mariah Carey, they have a hit song called "My Love" which is a really smooth and sexy song, there is also a video to it, which you can check that out at http://www.youtube.com/. Also, Kanye West in a song called "Walking on the Moon," Lil Jon in "Let Me See That Booty" and on the remix to his number one hit record "Rocking That Thang" with Fabulous, Juelz Santana, Ludacris, and Rick Ross. This album was released on March 10th but it's never to late to go get a good album. On the first week of the release of "Love vs. Money" it sold 151,000 copies. It has 14 tracks and a lot of flavor and style to it.

Another album that is out in stores now is the young and beautiful Keri Hilson. Now she has been on a lot of other people hit singles like "Super Human" with Chris Brown and Timberlands "The Way I Are." She (like The Dream) has some collaborations with other popular artists, like Keyshia Cole, Trina, Akon, Lil Wayne, Timberland, Ne-yo, Kanye West and even Justin Timberlake. People can't stop singing her hit single "Turning Me On" with Lil Wayne. It is even in the top 5 on the hit show 106 N Park.

Kanye West Going 2 Jail

Kanye West is known for a lot, his swagg, creativity, out spoken personality and for his many hit records. To most of his fans, it is shocking to hear that he might be getting sentenced to two in a half years in prison. The story is that he and his road manager (Don C) were at the airport and got into a little altercation with a member of the paparzzi. This happened back in September of 2008 but they were officially charged yesterday. The charges against Kanye and his manager are vandalism, grand theft, and battery. It seems like now-a-days a lot of celebrities are being arrested and charged with a lot of stuff that can really be avoided. Some people think that the fame and living the rich life puts them above the law and it doesn't so in the end these celebrities end up in a place they really shouldn't be. Kanye West is suppose to be going to court April 14th to be arragined.

College Hill 2009

Another season of College Hill is back on BET. If you have enjoyed all of the other seasons of College Hill, you will love this one. For those who have never seen this show, its almost like the real world but the people are in college and the majority of them are African American. This is the 6th season of College Hill and this one is taking place in South Beach, Florida. The locations of College Hill previous seasons were: The Virgin Islands, Atlanta, Oklahoma, Virginia, ans Louisiana. The colleges that the cast members went to were Southern University, Langston University, Virgin State University, and there were a lot of different colleges in the College Hill Atlanta, like Clark, George State, Morehouse, and West Georgia. This show is really interesting to me because its more than young adults partying and having fun, they actually go to school and make decisions in their own lives. Also, there was a College Hill Interns that wad located in Chicago, Illinois. It was very different from the regular College Hills because it was a competition to win an internship. From looking at the previews and commericals of this show, it seems like this season is going to be the one with the most fights plus more!!! It premieres Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at 9pm. Here is a little about

the cast of the show:

Brandon: The House Eye Candy

Tiffany: The Cheerleader
Allison: The Musician

Paul: The Jamaican Poet

Kyle: The Instigator

Milan: The Glam Girl Video Vixen

Terri: The Pageant Girl

Chris: The Diddy-Wannabe

Its going to be a season to talk about so be prepared On March 24, 2009 at 9pm.

UGGS

Teenage Girls are wearing a specific label that is standing out in a good way. UGGs are what every girl either has or want. They are comfortable, not all that expensive, and come in many different colors and styles. The most common UGGs that people are wearing are the slipper clogs and the boots. They can come with or without fur and can go with almost anything you decide to wear. If you want to wear shorts, sweats and even something dressy. They cost around $90 but the price may vary, depending on where you go and find them and what kind of style you get. In Cedar Rapids, you can go to Lindale Mall and in the department store Von Maur to get some. So if you want to join a new trend and be comfortable doing it, you should buy UGGs.

Highlights On BET Honor Awards

If you watched the BET Honors on Monday night, you proably felt proud to be an African American! The performances were incredible and breathtaking. Monica sung one of Mary J. Blidge's hit singles "Not Gon Cry" and killed it. They kept on showing Mary J Blidge and she was so close to tears and couldn't sit still in her seat as Monica was performing and she was just smiling from ear to ear and singing along to her own song.

Keyshia Cole did a fabulous job singing her new single "You Complete Me." If you have seen the video and bought her CD, you would be amazed at her performance. She wore a beatiful dress and worked with the stage. Keyshia Cole is the type to really get into her songs whenever and where ever she perfroms.

Ne yo did a phenominal job performing his hit single "Miss Independent." During his whole performance B. Smith (One of the honorees) was all into it. He even came off the stage and kissed her hand and she had a big kool aid smile. It was a great night to remember.

Whitney Houston looked so beautiful presenting Tyler Perry with his award. She has came back and is looking like a brand new woman. She performed on the Grammys and sounds better than ever. Ever since she and Bobby Brown broke up, she has been doing bigger and better things with her life.

If you would like to go to the website for more information on how the BET honors went you can go to this site, http://www.bet.com/specials/bethonors09/default/

Blog On Blogging

I think blogging is a great way to express yourself. If you have a strong interest in something and you want to get it across to other people then blogging will be great for you. I like posting interesting subjects to me and getting comments from people who have a similar opinion about it. To me it's like you're in your own little world and people get to come in and see what's going on in your life and what you like to do. I am into a lot of different things and I like to share that with people. So to me blogging is really fun and keeps you updating special events and topics in your life. It also helps you type faster and you start to get really good at it. This is how I look at it: If you are texting your friend and you are really into the conversation, you will begin to text faster and faster because you are excited to get your message across. It's the same thing with blogging! You just want to express yourself and let people know how you are that you just type faster until you realize that you're finished! So if you are amazed and really interested in how my blog site looks, you can start your own. Its simple and easy.

Need Something to Watch??

February is the month to just sit back relax and watch some TV. The weather is still nasty, so the things for you to do is really slim to none. Instead of talking on the phone for hours not discussing anything important. Turn on the television and get caught up on what is happening!!!

There are a lot of shows to watch with a lot of entertainment, comedy, and a lot of drama. If you like to watch BET, VH1, or MTV, there is something for you to watch almost every single day and time will go by so fast.

On Mondays, on VH1, there are the hit shows, "For the Love of Ray J," where he is trying to find love like almost every celebrity that has made a show on VH1. There is also the second season of "I Love Money." If your trying to figure out what that show is about you can scroll down and see. Now on MTV, the TV show "Daddy's Girls" has become something a lot of people who are in love with Run's House are watching. But instead of the show being about the whole Simmons family, its just about Angela and Vanessa as they try to build their career and live independently in Los Angeles. Its really cute and funny!!

On Tuesdays, BET has the third season of "Baldwin Hills." The seasons of this show are getting better every year. There are new cast members and a lot to talk about with your friends. If you want more information on this show, you can also scroll down. Now MTV is really trying to come up with TV series. There is the second season of "From G's to Gents," where Mr. Bentley (who use to work for P.Diddy) has decided to make more of a male version of charm school. He invites some of the hardest thugs or people who want a change in their life into his mansion and teaches them how to become a Gentleman. The first season was great and it really shows a different side of the people who are called "tough" or "hard." Also, on MTV, there is a new show called "T.I.'s Road to Redemption." T.I. is suppose to be sentenced to about 30 years of jail time for weapon charges but if he performs over 1000 hours of community service, his time may be reduced. So he has decided to create a show about his journey doing all these hours. He has 45 days to complete this task, which he is going to be saving himself by saving others. He is going to help some troubled teenagers into turning their life around. This is probably going to be one of the realist shows coming out in 2009.
On Thursday, on MTV, there is the third season of "ABDC" or better known as "America's Best Dance Crew." If you love to dance and like watching others having to take a difficult challenge and turning it into a routine, if this is for you. The judges are real and honest. The audience for the show is hot and live. Finally, for shows to watch if you have nothing else to do, there is "Making the Band 4." The results of how Danity Kane, Donnie, and Day 26 are doing is what this show is about. If you are a big fan of any of these stars, this show is for you. For more information of what you will be seeing, you can scroll down.

Now if you don't want to watch any of these shows, you can always pop in a DVD and enjoy yourself. You can even do something else other than watching the televison, as long as you enjoy yourself during this nasty winter.

United States takes too Much 4 Granted

My mom sent me this as an e mail and it really mad me open my eyes about how America does take a lot of stuff for granted. There are a lot of countries in the world don't experience have of the things we do and it's really depressing!! All the money that we as a country spend on fast food restaurants and materalistic things, we should be helping out those countries that are suffering every single day for no reason at all. Every teen wants to buy the new and exclusive shoes and complain about school and their parents, but if you really think about it, is it worth complaining about? Take away all of the necessities in your life where it becomes a struggle for you to survive and then complain. Life is too short and too precious to be worried about the new CD's, clothes and electronics. So think about others before you open your mouth and complain that life isn't fair because there are people in the world that have it worst than you and don't say a thing about it. They just try to make it another day!!
