2009 Top 5 Historical Black Colleges


For those of you who want to go to college and also inherit a lot of African American culture along the way, I would suggest that you go to a Historical Black College. Now you are probably thinking that these colleges only have and accept African Americans, this is not true. Although the majority of students are African American, there about a 17-18% who are white and 13% who are foreign.

Number 1: Spellman College (all girls school) in Atlanta, Georgia.

Number 2: Howard University in Washington, D.C.

Number 3: Morehouse College (all boys school) in Atlanta, Georgia

Number 4: Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia

Number 5: Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee

If you are really interested into getting into these schools, you can always go onto their home web pages and print off an application from there. You will also get information about the fees and requirements to get in. I'm going to make this a little easier for you and let you know the tuition fees for the Top 5 colleges.

Spellman tuition fees are up to $20,280 a year.

Howard tuition fees ares up to $14,685 a year

Morehouse tuition fees are up to $20,358 a year

Hampton tuition fees are up to $16,392 a year

Fisk tuition fees are up to $15,620 a year

If it's your dream to go to a Historically Black College or University, you can make it come true. All you have to do is work hard and believe in yourself that you can accomplish anyhing.
